George Hewitt

George came to CONTENT after graduating from Rice University with a Bachelor of Architecture as well as a degree in Art History. During his time at Rice, he was the recipient of the Rosemary Watkin Barrick Traveling Fellowship and John Maeda Award and a nominee for the Margaret Everson-Fossi Travel Fellowship. George has experience working at a wide variety of architecture practices including Interboro Partners, Agency—Agency, Cobalt Office, and Diller Scofidio + Renfro.

A born and raised New Yorker, George has a fascination with Houston and recently spent a year studying the implementation of accessory dwellings (garage apartments) as a way to promote meaningful diversity and to provide greater flexibility for existing Houston neighborhoods. George believes architecture has social and environmental responsibilities as well as an aesthetic role to play.

Outside of the office, George enjoys cooking his way through cookbooks and exploring Houston by foot, bike or car.
